ROBOY - The World's Most Advanced Humanoid

Swiss engineers are busy following their 9 month, self-set deadline to develop the ROBOY - the world's most advanced humanoid. Once 'born' in 9 months, the ROBOY will be a unique tendon driven robot. Prof. Dr. Rolf Pfeifer at the University of Zuerich and about 10 different institutes are collaborating on this project.

The robot is built to be human-like. The tendons will help the ROBOY get human like actions and the engineers are also developing a soft-skin for the bot. The team wants the ROBOY to help the kids with their daily chores. We've a video that demonstrates the development of the robot and those of you who want to fund the development of the machine can donate money to speed up the process. Check it out -
