Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC Proves To Be An Able Successor To Snapdragon 835

Qualcomm has finally announced the full specs of its Snapdragon 845 SoC on Wednesday. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is the newest line of chipset powering up mobile phones for an ultimate processing capability. As you might remember the Snapdragon 835 was the predecessor of this new Snapdragon 845 SoC. The new Snapdragon 835 chipset comes with a bunch of powerful features which would provide a smartphone the best AI assistant and extraordinary camera performance which could score more than 100 points in DxOMark benchmarks in performance, which is believed to be the first in the industry.

Diving deep into the specs, a co-processor called Spectra 280 Image Signal Processor (ISP) will put the camera’s action into an agile processing mode to tap the best output in clarity coupled with Motion Compensated Temporal Filtering (MCTF) and improved Electronic Image Stabilization(EIS) would give this variant a good edge over the Pixel 2, which stands at first in terms of image signal processing capability. Spectra 280 even comes with better depth sensing capability by which the high-resolution depth map produced by the camera module can be used to sense the environment around and can be used for real-time analysis from different angles.

This processor which is made from a 10nm LPP FinFET process technology also features Extended Reality (XR) for a real and virtual environment interaction, a secure hardware vault for on-device encryption. It even has a X20 LTE modem for high-speed internet service, where download speed can go up to 1.2 Gbps and finally for the power hungry world it comes with Quick Charge 4+ for instant charging. Its four performance cores which would accelerate the performance by 25% and the rest four efficient cores save power more efficiently than its predecessor. In addition to these, Qualcomm Aqstic audio codec WCD934x gives crystal clear audio quality.

The demand for these super chipset series is just overwhelming. The first set of these powerful chipsets are rumored to be completely bought out by Samsung for powering its Galaxy S9, giving a tough edge for its competitors to use this processor in their products.
