The chipmaker's gaming device, Nvidia Shield, comes with a quad-core Tegra 4 processor, offers between five and 10 hours of gameplay, and is smaller than a Wii U controller. Able to connect to the cloud in order for a user to accessAndroid and TegraZone games -- as well as PC games with compatible GeForce graphics cards -- once it hits the market, Shield will potentially allow users to access thousands of game titles.

Nvidia Shield is an interesting project and might just be a hint at how the gaming's going to evolve in coming days. There is a large bunch of people that says that console gaming may die and the new era of gaming will be on handheld devices, mobiles and tablets. Nvidia being one of the leading players in the GPU domain, has an important role to play.

Their Shield is pretty solid gaming device, if you go by the specs. I'm not very comfortable playing or doing anything on 5" display. It's too small, I think.
