New iOS 9.3 Update Fixes iPad 2 Activation Issue
It's just not you! The recently released iOS 9.3 firmware upgrade screwed the GSM iPad 2. After the firmware upgrade the older iPad would just keep reporting that it has activation issues. What many people thought is just a 'server busy' issue actually turned out to be a bug in the update that rendered iPad 2 useless. Apple's just re-released the iOS 9.3 update that fixes the activation issue for all the GSM iPad 2. There were several people complaining that another activation issue with iOS 9.3 affected iPad Air and iPhone 5s as well.
The latest re-issued firmware upgrade fixes the activation issue for the older iPad; but MacRumors reports that it's not addressed the activation issue for the iPhone and other older devices. In the meanwhile, Apple's informed that they're working to fix the second activation issue and a new update is likely to be rolled out soon. Owners of the older iDevices should retain their iOS 9.2.1 or earlier firmware version until an official fix is released.
9To5Mac has reported that the latest iOS 9.3 has led to a new annoying issue on the latest gadgets - iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus. Several users are reporting that they're experiencing issues with opening links inside apps. For example, tapping on any link from within the Safari or Mail app freezes the phone at times or in some cases leads to no action.
At this time, the exact nature of the issue and what devices / apps it affects isn't known. While the update is working for some of the users, people are reporting that the links inside Facebook app aren't working either. If you have any specific information about the bug, please share it with us below.
