LG's "Zero Client" VMware Cloud Monitors Combine UPoE & IPS Display

LG has announced the latest P Series cloud monitors that aim to offer a perfect desktop solution for space crunched offices. These monitors will allow you to do away with laptops and traditional desktops by integrating the best of the technologies available. The monitors use the VMware based 'Zero Client' technology to create virtual terminals that use CISCO's Universal Power over Ethernet aka UPoE to power up. J. J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of IT Business Unit of LG Home Entertainment Company calls these monitors as a highly appealing solution for the next generation of workspace architecture.

The P Series monitors combine cloud monitor technology along with beautiful IPS displays. The whole setup is more secure as the software is managed from a centralized network. This configuration also saves lot of hardware cost. All you'd need is the monitor, a keyboard and mouse. Employees won't have to install operating system and other required software on their own terminals as it will all be managed from a central location.

We do not have any information on the pricing yet. But if you want more details, head over to the LG’S NEW CLOUD MONITORS COMBINE UPoE AND IPS TO CREATE A TOTAL BUSINESS SOLUTION - 뉴스와이어 - Korea Newswire.
