Karbonn Mobiles To Launch Their Own Instant Messenger

I wonder what's making Karbonn mobiles launch their own instant messenger. This messenger will be similar to Samsung's ChatOn messenger or Blackberry's BBM. It's also expected that the company will launch their own pushmail service within next 10 days in India. As we'd expect, the messenger service will be offered free of cost (and there's no point in charging for the service when the world is offering it for free).

Karbonn KT21 will be the first handset to ship with the Karbonn Instant Messenger (KIM). The phone will be priced at Rs. ~5000. Recently, Karbonn mobiles partnered with Dolby to offer Dolby sound in their select phones.

I wonder whether the world needs yet another free instant messaging service when the market is already crowded with such services. Share your opinion?
