Huawei unveils Honor 9 with curved glass design, dual camera set-up: Price, Specifications and more

After the recent launch of its flagship device, Honor 9 in China, Huawei has announced its arrival for the UK and European markets. While the smartphone was launched in China in two internal storage variants of 64 GB with 4GB RAM and 128 GB/6 GB RAM; only one variant- 64GB/4GB RAM has been announced in UK. It is priced at 499 Euros (approx. Rs 33,000) in Europe and 380 pounds in UK.

On the specifications front, Honor 9 sports a 5.15-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass. It comes supported by Huawei’s HiSilicon 64-bit 2.4 GHz octa-core Kirin 960 chipset coupled with Mali G71 GPU. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat backed up by a 3200 mAh battery with fast charging support. It also features a fingerprint scanner on the front panel embedded into the home button. The device boasts of a USB Type-C port and an Infrared sensor as well.

Connectivity options include Hybrid Dual SIM tray, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC. On photography front, Honor 9 houses a dual rear camera setup of 20 megapixels and 12 megapixels with phase detection autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, superior night shot experience, panorama, and a dual tone LED flash. The primary rear camera has f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording.

On the front there is an 8-megapixel snapper with f/2.0 aperture for clicking selfies. Further it also boasts of a 3D immersive sound feature with Honor Purity equalizer. The smartphone device would retail in four variants of- Amber Gold, Black, Blue and Gray.
