How can I crack GATE exam without joining any classes ?
I am in 6th sem of mechanical engineering.i want to clear GATE exam without joining any classis.so give me suggestions for how I need to start preparation for GATE.

Kaustubh KatdareMayur, you *can* crack GATE exam without joining any class or coaching. However, are you sure you want to do that? You did not mention the reason you do not want to join classes for preparation.
Coaching classes help in numerous ways. First, they'll discipline your studies and make sure that you are equipped with right strategies to handle the GATE exam. You will also get study material that is likely to be up to date and follows latest trends in GATE.
If you wish to go the self-study way, I'll recommend taking a mock GATE exam first and find out your national rank and score. If you are in the top 500 - you can do well with self-study. But if you are not, you are going to need lot of study and I'll recommend joining classes.
Also, it's not possible for us to guess your comprehension abilities and how disciplined you are with your studies. We do not know your performance in engineering; which means you will have to evaluate it all by yourself before deciding on not joining classes for preparation.
