Google Personal Results, Profiles, People and Pages In Search
Google has been revamping their search engine from time to time adding array of new features to make searching more intuitive than before. This time they have worked upon bringing a more personal touch to the Google search by adding related contents from the people you know.
Google has integrated Social Search with their search engine to understand people and relationships along with the related searched term. Google calls this 'Search plus Your World' and they have added three features in this regard to make searching more of a personal experience. The features are:
> Personal Results
> Profiles in Search
> People and Pages
Lets understand each of them one by one.
The Personal Results integrates search results from Google+ posts where you or your friends might have shared related contents privately or publicly. This will also show any links, activities or photos shared during the past. The search also searches keywords from the Picasa album of yours and your friend's to show photos of the related searched term. These results would be available only on your personal search page and you need to sign in to your Google account for that.

The Profile in Search feature searches the particular name throughout the web and comes up with suggestions as you type in first few letters of the person you want to search. This will then look up in Google+ and other relevant pages for information. Now the feature also allows you to connect to the person instantly using the Google Instant. That also means if you are signed into Google+ you can always add the person to your circle directly from the search result page.

The People and Pages allow you to connect to prominent people and the pages where the topic of your interest or searched term is discussed on a more frequent basis. Google believes that behind most of the queries there are communities and they have integrated this idea into the search engine to help you connect to your interest.

And there is no need to worry about security as the search page will be secured by SSL encryption as in Gmail. You will also have more control over your searched contents with the new search toggle buttons, where you can choose to get results with a personal touch or get results without any personalisation.
