Does California Skyscraper site sit on Hollywood Earthquake Fault?
California's state geologist has suspected that Hollywood earthquake fault may run directly underneath THE skyscraper project approved by the Los Angeles City. They also added that further detailed tests are to be done in order to confirm that.
Immediately after this declaration from State, the developers,Millennium Partners of a Los Angeles skyscraper project announced that they would dig a trench on the construction site in order to determine if an earthquake fault runs through it.
Sky scrapper developer told that they does not believe the Hollywood fault runs underneath the $664 million project (expected to finish by 2040), but they would halt construction if it is found that suspicion is correct.
