Apple's New iPad Models In 2012 - Rumors Have It; Double Battery Life Expected

Apple has declared the launch of its two new iPads in January 2012. The models will be unveiled in a press conference. These models are being launched much sooner than expected. The two iPads will be priced in different range for the buyers; covering both the mid-price range and the high-end. These two models will be launched at the iWorld event also know as the Macworld to be held on 26th January 2012 in San Fransisco.

Price of iPad 2 will be kept lower in order to compete with Amazon Kindle Fire. Both the models will have 9.7"screens instead of previously expected 7.85" screens. Both the iPads will be powered by A6 processor and will have a resolution of 1536x2048 pixels. The basic difference between the two models is their image sensor. One model will feature a 8 mega pixel CMOS image sensor, while the other model will have a 5 mega pixel one. Both the models will aim at the different segments of the market, so that can can efficiently and directly compete with Amazon Kindle Fire on monetary basis.

The models will feature new Dual-LED light bars to improve the brightness of the panels. Sharp is the key supplier for the panels along with Samsung and LG Display. Samsung is manufacturing new A6 quad-core processors and Korean electronics is supplying 5 mega pixel camera sensor, while Sony will provide 8 mega pixel sensor. The 8 mega pixel camera sensor is presumed to be same like Apple phone 4S. Apple has linked up with Simplo Technology and Dynapack International Technology to supply high-capacity 14,000mAh batteries that would double the battery life of the new models. The exact price of the models will be revealed at the launch event. It is expected that the price will be less than current price of $499 to compete with Amazon Kindle Fire that is priced at $199.
