Akamai Report: Internet Connection Rates Dropped By 14%

We geeks tend to believe that the next Internet connection we'll have is going to be definitely faster than our current one. However, as the internet adoption grows worldwide, Akamai has found out that the overall connection rates all over the world have dropped by around 14%. According to the report, the average internet connection speed in the world was about 2.3 Mbps by the end of year 2011; that is about 14% lesser than the Q3, 2011.
