Happy Engineers Day - September 15, 2023
Every year on September 15, India celebrates Engineers' Day to commemorate the birthday of one of its most renowned engineers, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, and to honor the contributions of engineers across various fields and sectors of the Indian economy.
Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, or Sir MV, was born on September 15, 1861. A civil engineer, statesman, and the 19th Diwan of Mysore, he was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor, in 1955.

The theme of Engineers' Day 2023
The theme for Engineers' Day 2023, as declared by the National Institution of Engineers in India (IEI), is "Engineering for a Healthy Planet: Celebrating the UNESCO Engineering Report."
This theme aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to highlight the role of engineers in shaping a sustainable future.
