Volvo Mean Green Hybrid Truck

#-Link-Snipped-# "Mean Green" hybrid truck isn't new to breaking records. In June 2011, the truck had achieved ~136 mph at Hultsfred Airport in Sweden. But the speed obsessed engineers at Volvo wanted more out of their baby. So they equipped a reengineered and tuned version of the Volvo D16 Electric-Diesel, 6-cylinder power train capable of delivering 1900 horse power with a 200 hp and 885 pound-feet electric motor to deliver 147 miles per hour. The test run was completed at Wendover, Utah. What's important to note that Volvo team used the production parts (fine tuned, of course) to build the truck. We've an interesting video for your viewing pleasures -
