Transcend Dashcams DrivePro100 And DrivePro200 Launched In India
India isnât a country where many cars have the dashboard cameras installed in them but India is definitely (and sadly) a country where many road accidents happen every day. Apparently keeping this in mind, Transcend, which is famous worldwide for its storage devices has decided to launch two dashcams in the Indian market. In UK, the Transcend Dashcam is well recognized throughout and recently won five awards including the Amazon best seller award.
The first dashcam DrivePro100 is the standard dashcam model which has a 2.4-inch LCD display whose resolution is yet unknown. It has six-glass wide angle lens of angle 130 degrees. It has the aperture of f/1.8 which will help to focus on nearby objects clearly. The dashcam comes with built-in microphone and speaker. The CMOS sensor on it is of 3 MP. Together the aperture and the CMOS sensor provide sensitivity even in low-light conditions.
The DrivePro200 dashcam too has similar display as its counterpart. It has got seven-glass wide angle lens of angle 160 degrees plus it has one infrared filter. The aperture of this dashcam is f/2.0 while CMOS sensor, speaker and microphone are same as in DrivePro100. The difference is that this dashcam can be connected to Wi-Fi which makes it easier to sync videos to phone and control the camera as well. Both the Android and iOS have DrivePro200 apps which allow to control the camera, playback the recorded videos and modify camera settings.
The two cameras are powered by the car adapter and in case of emergency if the car suddenly loses powers, both can record footage upto 30 seconds, thanks to the Li-polymer batteries. Additionally, both of them come with store data upto 16GB because of the microSDHC card present in them. The cameras are available already via Amazon and Snapdeal. The cost of DrivePro100 is Rs 8,999 and that of DrivePro200 is Rs 9,899.
