ESSP 2000 can store up to 2.4 kWh power and supports load of 1000 VA. It can charge up to 95% of its capacity in just 2 hours which is quite impressive considering the the backup it offers. SONY has decided to use olivine-type lithium-ion iron phosphate batteries that guarantee up to 10 years of life at optimum performance. The unit weighs 90kg and measures 490x 610 x 750 mm. The system isn't cheap though. It costs 2 million Yen. For the industries where a few minutes of power supply can make a difference, this cost should not be a big deal.
