Siri Finds Its Match In Google's Majel

If reports are to be believed, Google is preparing to flourish its present voice-recognition aid for Android, which will enable users to carry out actions in the vernacular language they are comfortable with, just like Apple iPhone's Siri. Stated by AndroidandMe, Google is designing the feature in such a manner that the Google Voice Actions shall process natural languages too, a feature available in majority of the android phones.#-Link-Snipped-#

Voice Actions makes it possible for the users to feed commands simply by stating keywords like "send text to". Only the modified software would be able to permit it to react to the commands by employing more natural choice of words, just like the Apple's Siri. "Majel" has been chosen as a code name for the feature, after the lady who lends the computer voice in Star Trek: The Next Generation. It is anticipated that Google will apply Majel for search queries initially, and will gradually integrate other commands like controlling phone and app actions at some time in the future. The launch of Majel may happen before the end of this year, but the likeliness of this to happen is very less. It will definitely be available in a couple of months though.
