Samsung's ARM Processor : Exynos 5 Octa Enters Production Line.
Around 20 hours ago, Samsung unleashed its most anticipated Android Smartphone : Galaxy S4 which is shipped with 1.6 GHz Octa-Core Exynos processor. On the same day, Samsung unveiled their new ARM Processor Exynos 5 Octa (28nm architecture), which is not really eight core processor - confirms Samsung Engineers.
Then why named it "Octa" ?
The Hardware Technical Specifications & new technology that are implemented in Exynos 5 Octa is not announced, keeping the critics wondering what's new in this new Exynos !

During CES '13 Samsung shared a very special feature of Exynos 5 Octa processor called "Automatic-Switching".Samsung's Exynos 5 Octa uses 4-cores of Cortex A-15 & 4-cores of Cortex A-7 (thus making them 8-core -> Mathematically, but performance wise it will be less as 4-cores are fast while other 4 cores are slow).
Exynos 5 Octa is capable of switching to core as per need of performance, this can be very useful for power saving of about 70%.
The Exynos 5 Octa's graphics performance has also been improved much than Exynos 4 because it's now powered by "PowerVR SGX 544 MP3" & not "Mali".
We will get into detailed specifications once Samsung officially releases it.
