Verizon is all all set to offer the Samsungâs Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, the so called âfamily tabletâ to its customers from 26th June. Samsung launched its Galaxy Tab 4 series back in April which included Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, 8.0, 10.1. Let us take a sneap peek at the features of upcoming tablet from Samsung in detail.
Having an 8-inch display (as the name suggests), the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 with a pixel-density of 189 pixel per inches (ppi). It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. This tab offers 16 GB of internal storage and a micro SD card slot to expand the storage by 64 GB. There will be a 3-megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front, while a 4,450 mAh battery provides adequate juice for the day.
The main reason why this tablet is called the family tablet is because of its multi-user mode (just like the one in windows) which lets different users to create their individual profile on the tab, allowing them to choose their own wallpaper, apps, password and more. The social teen in the house can log in and have twitter and facebook widgets on their home screen, and the chef in the house can have their recipe shortcuts and cooking apps on their home screen. Along with this, The Galaxy Tab 4 can act as a TV guide and remote control with the WatchOn app- which helps you to bookmark your favorite shows and set alarms so that you never any episode.
The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will be available, for a limited time, online and in Verizon Wireless Stores at a price of $379.99. The tablet will also be available on a 2 year contract for $279.99.
