Pirated Walk and Text App is Actually a Trojan
Downloading pirated Android applications? Well, you need to rethink before you do that again. The reason is that the next application that you download may be a Trojan that will cost you much more than you would pay to buy a licensed version for your smart phone. Now those who are not much into computers and viruses stuff, let’s know in brief what a Trojan is. Basically, it program that you install on your desktop or laptop or in your smart phone to perform some desired task (say, a game or an application). But this program, in addition to the desired task, also performs something unknown to the user. This Trojan actually steals your personal data from your phone and then sends it out on a pre-determined server may be in the form of an email. While showing you the ‘processing’ message, the application actually finds out your name, number and your phone’s IMEI number and then sends out to the server. The show does not stop here. The application moves further sending texts from your phone to all the numbers in your contact-list that saying that you just downloaded a pirated application and that you are stupid and cheap. Now, that can really take down your image in your friend circle big time. Lastly, when it is all done, the application prompts you that your application version is not licensed and please buy an original one from the market. The message also prompts you to check your bill and learn a lesson of not buying pirated applications.
They say that this application has been developed by some anonymous person who is not affiliated with the application manufacturer company. But looking at the messages sent by the Trojan and the message it displays for the user, I strongly doubt this. Either the person behind this must be a social awareness freak or he must be linked or funded by the company. Whatsoever, the application seems to be real effective for those who buy pirated copies. Now that you know this, do not download pirated version and prevent yourself from making a total fool out of yourself in your friends. Note that the legal version is completely safe.
