    The Chinese manufacturer, Lenovo has now launched ThinkPad Helix 2- a new Windows tablet. ThinkPad Helix 2, a successor to Helix is aimed at enterprise market and the users who want a compact, powerful 2-in-1 ultrabook with long battery life, great design and a trackpoint system. However, the biggest plus for Helix 2 is that it is much more affordable, with a starting price of $979 (approx. Rs. 78,000) than its predecessor which was sold for $1679 when it was first launched.

    ThinkPad Helix 2 is a convertible ultrabook that can be used as a laptop as well as a tablet. As far as the specifications are concerned, the device flaunts an 11.6-inch (1920x1080 pixels) IPS display with full HD and runs on Windows 8.1 Pro. It is powered by Intel Core M processor, providing better performance than the previous generation paired with 4GB of RAM Intel HD Graphics 5300. The company claims the tablet to offer 8 hours of battery life or up to 12 hours of run time when the keyboard dock is attached. The Ultrabook sports a 2MP front-facing HD webcam and 5MP HD AF rear-facing camera with 30 fps video recording. Connectivity options in the tablet include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 ports, microSD card slot, stereo speakers, micro HDMI output and weighs around 1.75 pounds. Also, the keyboard dock has a USB 2.0 port, two more speakers and weighs around 1.2 pounds. The device has a sleek and premium finish and is made from an aluminum grip-friendly finish.

    Further, it comes with a suit of add-on security options like biometric fingerprint reader, military-grade smart card reader and three-factor authentication.
