At a time when fast food chains like McDonalds are pursuing a social media campaign “#KuchPalOffline†in India to persuade their customers to put down their phones and socialise more at their restaurants, KFC in Germany has started a promotional campaign that aims to facilitate your smartphone addiction. The fast food chain of restaurants sought the expertise of advertising agency ServicePlan to launch a promotional campaign called KFC Tray Typer. The KFC Tray Typer is a foldable keyboard that hooks up to your smartphone using Bluetooth. Since the KFC Tray Typer is durable enough to be wiped down and used again, you can now continue your social media or mobile messenger conversation without smudging your smartphone screen with chicken grease.
The KFC Tray Typer as the name suggests is laid out on your food tray and although it is not mentioned explicitly in the news source, it can probably without grease smudges, we still do not know if it can withstand a fizzy drink spill.
