Is stronger Rupee good for India's economy?

India and its economy are going through a very interesting phase in history. These elections are supposed to be the game changer, no matter which party comes to the power. That said, Indian economy is going to be influenced a LOT by the decisions of the Government along with the global market conditions. This debate is about deciding on whether the stronger Rupee will be good for India's economy?

On one hand, if India wants to be a global super-power, it will have to make sure that the Indian currency has a better buying power in the International markets. On the other, we've a huge IT industry that thrives on the difference between the rupee and the USD.

I look forward to arguments both for and against the stronger rupee.

In my opinion, for atleast the next two years, rupee should linger between 60-65 per $. After that, it should rise. The investment is supposed to boost up in NDA government. In that scene, rupee will start gaining against dollar. It should come as low as 40-45 per dollar. That will be an interesting turnout. Those who wanna buy rupee, now is the time. sell Euros or Dollars. at later stage, it will be show time.
