Huawei Ascend P7 Launched - Features 5 Inch Screen, 1.8GHz Quad Core And Android KitKat

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has launched yet another phablet with Huawei Ascend P7 to combat with the likes of Samsung, Sony and Apple. We decided to take a look at the official tech specs sheet for the new Ascend series smartphones and found some pretty decent features. For starters, there's a 5.0 inch INCELL touch-sensitive screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution FHD display that sports 16M colors. Running on the latest Android 4.4 .2 KitKat OS with the Huawei's native Emotion UI 2.3, the Ascend P7 smartphone is getting all its power from the 1.8GHz Quad-core Hisilicon Kirin 910T processor engine. Weighing just 124g, the phone's overall dimensions are Height - 139.8mm, Width - 68.8mm and Depth - 6.5mm.

Available in two colors - Black and White, the Huawei Ascend P7 packs inside it 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. On the connectivity front, the smartphone brings - NFC, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with BLE and Micro USB 2.0. The rear camera on the phone is 13 megapixel one with AF BSI F2.0 and Flash. The Ascend P7 comes with an innovative Panorama Selfie feature, which means you can create spectacular self-portraits with a wide panoramic background. With good low-light performance and 1.2 second ultra snapshot features, the phone brings 1080p video recording and 720p playback. The front camera is a decent 8 megapixel with FF. Sucking on the 2500mAh battery's juice to keep its processors running, the Huawei Ascend P7 features G-sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity & light sensor, Ambient light sensor and Compass.


The Ascend P7’s sleek glass back was made with a 7-layer surface treatment using a micro-pattern design never seen before in a smartphone. At 6.5mm, the smartphone sports ultra-slim design and the indented power key has been carefully crafted to make it more comfortable to use with one hand. The phone brings some advanced features such as 3G to 4G automatic switching and vice-versa and a separate antenna at both ends of the phone, the Ascend P7 maximizes responsiveness in places where the signals of most conventional single-antenna smartphones start to drop out. Moreover, the use of Thermal Gel Cooling in the Ascend P7 handset, keeps the system’s CPU cooler, which significantly cuts back on power loss.

Currently being called the "world’s slimmest phone", the Huawei Ascend P7 is priced at 449 euros (US $630) and will be available in Britain, Germany and China etc. among 31 other markets. There's no word about U.S. sales.
