Google Starts Testing Its Domain Registration Service, Google Domains [For Businesses Only]

Google has ventured into the domain registration service industry by launching its Google Domains service. Just like other players in the industry such as GoDaddy and BigRock, Google’s service will help businesses to choose and register a domain name. Hosting, domain management support and mobile website creation tools will be provided by third party website-building providers such as Shopify, Squarespace, Weebly, and Wix.com. Businesses will be given the freedom to choose from conventional domains like .com, .biz and .org or they can also opt for newer ones like .guru and .photography.


Google has invited a small number of people to test the efficiency of its service. To avail this service you will need an invitation code from Google. On its #-Link-Snipped-# the service has listed the reasons for limiting the number of users. The company says that they service does not have all the features yet. It shall use the feedback from the selected invitees to streamline its infrastructure and customer support.
