Google Hangouts Update V11: Addition Of Video Messaging And Deletion Of Merged Conversation
The technology world admires competition and by some regular form, their updates follow each other to raise the accessibility in turn gaining full user support. Earlier this year, Google Inc. refurbished the Hangouts messaging application for iOS, releasing the latest update packed with video messaging feature. Later Facebook seconded Google by updating their Messenger application with a modified version in similar terms. Now according to Google, it’s time to launch v11 Hangouts version for android users, breaking the monotonicity of the last expressed v10.
Expectedly the update hasn’t reached the Google Play store yet and proceeded to APK Mirror. Keeping the UI element similar to picture sharing option, the video trick will be placed at the bottom of the chat panel. If needed, user will have to tap on the bottom figure to raise a screen which will simply record a video by accessing the native camera and place it on the chat window. Reportedly, the application will help to process the video and add a final touch with its own set of editing tools before progressively sending that to its place.
Not just depended on the singleton, Google has decided to kill the conversation merging feature which allowed one to screen through both text messages and hangout messages at the same time and for the same conversation. Due to low usage now it has been replaced with a double indicator which will let the user know whether he is in a text or a hangout conversation.
Also, the latest help documentation reveals that the Android Hangouts video messages will only be restricted to a minute length while the previous iOS update has received a promotion from 1 minute video text to 2 minutes already. In spite of being related to a much greater context, it seems that Android needs to increase its pace in application R&Ds otherwise it will always lag behind iOS at least in terms of receiving updates.
