Ethertronics' Antenna Design Leads To Fewer Dropped Calls
Itâs really very annoying when you are on the verge of sharing something very important and your call drops. Mobile signal reception has been a very challenging task for telecommunication companies to keep hold of a good count of customers. To balance quality of service with growing customers, Ethertronics has developed a technology where in the mobileâs inbuilt antenna can alter various signal parameters depending upon the cellular signal conditions.

Ethertronics promises to provide decent signal power even at worst reception situations. Basically, the di-pole antenna used in modern phones can receive signals under an optimal set of conditions. If these conditions arenât satisfied, calls drop.
Ethertronics has made an antenna that can merely adjust itself to the situation even if the so called optimal sets of conditions arenât met. The technology, also named Ethertronics Air InteRFace Processing System, permits an Active Antenna to generate multiple radiation patterns each of which is aimed at different set of signal conditions. So, whenever you change your orientation or move to a different place, the antenna reconfigures itself to a new pattern in no time; thus maintaining the active connection. Guess what? You have avoided the call drop.
Ethertronics, in collaboration with SkyCross and WiSpry has started developing intelligent antennas that can tune themselves to multiple bands thereby giving rise to a new platform where mobile devices can carry a dozen of bands without using multiple antenna units.
Active Antennas are really going to serve a greater part of the globe through its technology later this year. So the next generation smartphones are expected to hold Active Antennas for faster connection and fewer call drops.
