Engine load, as the name says, is the power which is taken out of the engine by various sub-systems attached to it (say AC, radiator, etc). An engine simply running in mid air is to have no engine load.Shashank MogheAnybody with a clear and concise definition of Engine Load? -

Hmm, an engine running mid air is still required to overcome the FMEP. Hence, the throttle has to open a certain % of the maximum. If this is 0% load, then why is 100% load associated with WOT?
