Dharun Ravi's case - Justice tempered with sobriety (in the US that is)

Dharun Ravi, an 18 year old undergrad of Rutgers was guilty of an act of indiscretion that might have led to the suicide of his room mate, who was a gay. The story of his trial and the role of media is both heartening and scary.
A lot of food for thought here and introspection of what happens in India and other countries.
