30 Storey Building Constructed In 15 Days! Broad Group's Timelapse Video
Earlier they amazed the construction world by showing that they are capable of constructing a 16-storey building in just six days. Now the Broad Group is back with a larger achievement. They have succeeded in constructing a 30 storey building in just 360 hours i.e. 15 days. Using pre-fabricated parts, the building was constructed in the record time.

The Building In The Construction Process
Their first such attempt was to construct the 16 storey ‘The New Ark Hotel’ in china in less than 6 days. This 17,000m2 hotel constructed near Dongting Lake, in the Human Province, China is a 30 storey hotel building which was built in 15 days and completed on 31st, December, 2011.
The building has a reinforced steel core built over a driven pile. And this building has all the floors built around it. Using steel frameworks attached to the central column the pre-fabricated floorings are laid. In the fabrication yard the floorings are prepared earlier. The floorings contains all the plumbing, electrical fitting, lighting sockets and other accessories to enhance the speed of the construction. Then they are transported to the site in huge vehicles and using cranes they’re erected.

The façade of the building is 15cm thick glass curtain wall insulation which was pulled to the required level and then fixed in position. The building is five times more energy efficient that any other skyscraper. The energy required to keep the building operational is also very less. It has four-paned windows with external solar shading, internal window insulation and a heat recovery system also. A three stage air purifying system is used in this hotel to enhance the air quality inside the building by over 20 times. The air quality monitoring is effectively carried out inside the building.
If you have any doubts regarding the safety of the building keep them aside. The building has been designed to withstand an earthquake of magnitude 9. It has been tested by China Academy of Building Research.  The video also shows the testing process (at 1:49).
