Taking this into consideration and YouTube will now be delivering original content shows starting from next month with 25 hours of daily programming after the final launching in 2012. Google has been investing over $100 million for the various content creators to make this effort a success. A line up of 96 channels has been put up by YouTube dividing them into various categories of Sports, Music, News & Education, Lifestyle and Pop Culture. Some of these channels are owned by various personalities and well known content producers from TV, film, music and other fields like Jay Z, Ashton Kutcher, Tony Hawk and more.

This all finally runs down to one place, the content, which will keep the viewers interested and coming back for more. This would also create new opportunities for advertisers by expanding their  reach global audiences. With the television industry already making huge impact on our entertainment, it would be interesting to see what the online TV business has to offer in the near future. A sneak peak has also been provided by YouTube as a preview.
