ZTE Blade Max 3 with 13MP dual camera, 6.0-inch screen launched in the US for $199

Chinese telecommunications equipment and systems company, ZTE Corporation has added a new member in its Blade series of smartphones with the launch of the ZTE Blade Max 3 in the United States for $199 (roughly Rs 12,900). It features a big 6.0-inch display with 13-megapixel dual camera setup offering decent specs at a somewhat affordable price point. The ZTE Blade Max 3 is a successor to the last year's ZTE Imperial Max and is now available for purchase via the US Cellular.


The ZTE Blade Max 3 measures 6.49" x 3.31" x 0.35" and weighs 6.34 ounces. In terms of specifications, it boasts a 6-inch Full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS display offering a pixel density of 367ppi with the 2.5D Gorilla Glass on the top for protection.

Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) chipset with 64-bit 2.0GHz Octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage with room for further expansion by up to 128GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front, the ZTE Blade Max 3 gets a dual camera setup at the rear with one 13-megapixel RGB PDAF primary sensor and another monochrome 13-megapixel depth sensor. Next to the dual camera setup is the dual-LED flash to assist it in low lit scenarios. For selfies and video chats, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera sensor on the other side.


For connectivity the ZTE Blade Max 3 offers TRIO SIM card with 4G LTE support, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz 802.11 b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 4.2 USB Type-C and GPS/aGPS. Onboard sensors include Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, Proximity, Gyro, Hall, and Compass. For easy unlocking, the ZTE Blade Max 3 gets the fingerprint scanner as well which is located on its back panel. Apart from that, a dedicated DAC (Digital-to-Analog Convertor) is also included in the package that which provides better audio experience via headphones.

Powering the entire package is the 4000 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. On the software front, the ZTE Blade Max 3 runs the previous year's Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
