Yamaha Ray Z Scooter Launched In India - Sporty Looks @ Rs. 48,555

Yamaha-Ray-Z
Yamaha Motors India today introduced a new scooter on Indian roads - called Yamaha Ray Z. The price of the scooter starts at Rs. 48555 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and like the Ray model it had launched in September 2012, is aimed at female riders. The company says that Ray Z offers an 'aggressive sporty design'. Yamaha already has claimed ~16% market share with Ray by selling over 70,000 of the Ray scooters in India since its launch.

To keep up with the sporty looks, Yamaha will offer the scooter in Red+Black, White and all Black colors. Most of the tech specs are identical with the original Ray (4-stroke, 113cc engine with CVT aka continuous variable transmission) and the mileage claimed is 53 kmpl. That should make convincing your fathers to buy this one for you easier. You'll notice that the scooter has a smoke-finished visor, wing-shaped rider grab-bars, a revamped instrument panel with carbon fiber background.

The scooter will offer you a good acceleration and pick-up while offering a good fuel economy, says the company. If you happen to take a test ride, do share your feedback with us through the comments. We'd also be looking at unbiased reviews of this scooter from our members.
