XOLO Win Tablet Features AMD A4 Processor, Launched At CES 2014

CES 2014 event witnessed the launch of XOLO Win tablet in Las Vegas. Xolo Win is a 10.1 inch tablet powered by the 1.0 GHz dual core AMD A4 processor. Here we should give special mention about the processor that AMD A4 has the same CPU core as the one used in PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As we take a look at the Xolo Win tablet's features, we find a 10.1-inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The display is a Windows-8 certified 10-finger touch. For graphics, the Xolo Win tab features AMD Radeon HD 8180G GPU.

Coming to the memory on the tablet, we have a 2GB DDR3 RAM and EMMC 32 GB internal storage. For audio output, the tablet is equipped with two 1.5W speakers. On the camera front, there's a 2 megapixel one on the rear and a 1 megapixel on the front. Connectivity if taken care of using Wireless LAN, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 supports. A 3550 mAh battery powers the tablet and Xolo claims that it promised up to 7 hours of battery life. The XOLO Win tablet is targeted at youth and working professionals who want to make the most out of their tablet experience. “The tablet is targeted at youth as well as working professionals, offering a superior high-definition image rendering with great multi-tasking and impressive power saving technology,” Lava International co-founder and Director Vishal Sehgal said.

Speaking about the association with AMD, Vishal Sehgal, Co-founder and Director, Lava International Ltd., said, “Providing superior product experience is at the core of XOLO’s proposition to its target customers, hence joining hands with a technology leader like AMD makes perfect sense. With AMD’s unique Accelerated Processing Unit (APU), featuring both a CPU & GPU on a single piece of silicon, we look forward to this strategic partnership to provide the best performance and graphics on mobile devices”. “XOLO Win expands the usage of tablets with its great battery life, solid performance and superior graphics at a price point that redefines the tablet space.” Ravi Swaminathan, Managing Director, AMD India said at the launch. “We are delighted to be associated with Lava International Limited, as we usher in a new era of mobility.” Swaminathan said.

Currently, the price and availability of the tablet is unknown, but speculations suggest that the tablet will be launched in India later this month. A lot can not be said about the specs
