Xiaomi Mi Max gets an early Android 7.0 upgrade for 3 GB RAM variants

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, Xiaomi has readily confirmed that the flagship phone Xiaomi Mi Max will soon get the much awaited Android 7.0 upgrade. After the announcement, in last 24 hours, the smartphone set has received an Android 7.0 Beta version in their respective "Updater" application with an extra, May security patch. Currently, it is seen in some devices located in Germany and expected to be seen in other locations in the coming days.

Many third party sources reveal that the update will have an overlay of MIUI 8.5.1.0. As we already know, like many other vendors, Xiaomi prefers to customize the raw Android with Mi flavor. As a result, the ultimate update will be somewhat different than what we have noticed so far in Nougat phones. The new features will include more efficient CPU resource allocation, new toggles for common settings in search results, a new choice to hide the content of notifications on the lock screen, and better optimization facilities.

As the source reveals, the update is only for 3 GB RAM variants and as of now, no news about the 4 GB variants have been published. What else? This is an over-the-air update for Mi Max and will take days to feature in other Xiaomi Phones. Till then, you have to wait and watch, what Xiaomi offers for your device.

The Xiaomi Mi Max is the predecessor of the latest high-end device Xioami Mi Max 2. The main specifications include a 6.44" screen with 2.5D curved display, a Snapdragon
652 / 650 processor, 16MP PDAF camera, and fingerprint recognition. It also features Mi odored 3-choose-2 hybrid SIM. Powered by a 4850 mAh Battery, the phone supports all standard networking features with full LTE availability.
