What is the need of doing an internship for a 1st and 2nd year student?
Are internships useful for a 1st and 2nd year students? If so, what kind of internships do we have to attend?
Yes, it is good if you go for an internship as you get to know the type of work you will be required to perform. Accordingly, you can prepare yourself. Also if you do not find the work in internship good you will have a option of changing your field
Internships is a way to understand what's going on in the industry and how work's done in the real world. So, internships are useful for everyone. However, a student can derive more value from internships if they go for a longer-term internship (minimum 3months) in their 3rd / final year engineering.
As an engineering student, internship will expose you to practical applications of the knowledge you've gained in classrooms.
Since you are an agricultural engineering student; you should seek internship in any of the agri-industry where you can see the practical applications of the theory. I'm sure you'll find a few good companies or industries in your city. Seek help from your college seniors and professors to help connect with these industries.
I hope it helps.
