What is the difference between a screw and a bolt?

Screws as well as bolts,are both fasteners and having same kind of threads. Inspite of that,there name is different.What's the basic difference between screw and bolt?

Generally a screw is threaded for its whole length, while a bolt is threaded only at the end.

Screw goes inside the material, bolt pass by the material and tie by the Nut. screw do not need any nut.
