Vivo Y55L: Snapdragon 430, Android Marshmallow & 4G VoLTE Support For Rs.11,980

Vivo has seen significant growth in India this year and it is focused on keeping the momentum going with a new smartphone. Vivo has launched the Y55L smartphone in India today. The announcement of the launch was made on #-Link-Snipped-#. The Vivo Y55L has a few things going for it which we are going to list in this paragraph. The 2.5D curved glass on the Vivo Y55L combines seamlessly with rear giving it a sleek look and making it easy to grasp. The Vivo Y55L has the Smart Screen Flash feature that automatically detects low light conditions and deploys a bright screen to light up your selfies. Vivo has updated its split screen feature Smart Split to support more apps. This means you can run two apps simultaneously making multi-tasking a breeze.

For avid e-book readers Vivo has added an Eye Protection Mode to the display to filter out blue light that causes eye strain. This works not only for e-books or text it works for videos and photos as well. We have one other feature but let’s leave it for later as we discuss the technical specifications of the Vivo Y55L. The Vivo Y55L sports a 5.2inch IPS panel HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display that is sadly not covered with any protective glass. Under the hood we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC that was seen earlier this month on the Xiaomi Goes Offline Only With Redmi 3S Plus With Snapdragon 430, Android 6.0 & Fingerprint Sensor. Just to refresh your memory the chipset houses a 1.4GHz 64-bit octa-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU, Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Vivo Y55L has an internal memory of 16GB onboard and you can use microSD cards of up to 128GB to expand storage.

The feature we wanted to discuss before comes now when we talk about the cameras. The rear 8MP camera with LED flash has a feature called Ultra HD Photos where the camera takes six consecutive images and combines them to render photos whose resolution goes up to 32MP. This enables you to capture more details in a photo. The front 5MP camera as we mentioned earlier supports Screen Flash. The Vivo Y55L is a dual SIM smartphone that supports 4G and VoLTE. This means you do not miss out on next gen cellular technology. The Vivo Y55L is powered by a 2650mAh battery that can last for an entire day of usage.

Connectivity options on the Vivo Y55L include Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth 4.1. The sensors on the Vivo Y55L are accelerometer, gyroscope, light and proximity. The Vivo Y55L measures 147.9 mm X 72.9 mm X 7.5 mm and weighs 142grams. The Vivo Y55L retails for Rs. 11980 which sounds like a good deal.
