UK's Biggest Solar Farm In Southampton To Power 1000 Houses

Basking in the glory of the Sun Energy, UK is now proud to present its biggest Solar Farm, that produces five mega watt of energy and spreads over a huge 30 acres, on the Cadland estate in Fawley near Southampton, Hants. The electricity produced in this project is enough to power 1,000 homes. Constructed with 1,800 solar PV panels mounted on 5.6 miles of frames, the farm is UK's largest till date and the estate on which it stands is also in use for farming wheat, maize, potatoes and some livestock. Impressive, isn't it? We were reminded of another renewable energy project in New York - the #-Link-Snipped-#.

This project has held all the energy industry leaders in awe. They say that some companies find such projects too complex, but keeping things simple and discreet has helped the team. What do you think of the project? Share with us in comments.
