Helical spring, compression spring, English Elbow spring, Leaf spring and many more.

Are you looking for design of springs or only general information?

if u go for type of application of force then mainly three types- Compression spring, Tension sprng & torsion.
These are the basic types and according to applications and other constraints the springs are also given different names.

There are a number of factors affecting design of springs. The equations will vary depending on loading conditions.

Here is something you should look for-

the general types are coil and leaf springs

under coil springs you have compressin , tension and torsional

there is also another class called belleville and plate springs.

however the types of springs varies from application to application. compression springs can also have a taper or conical profile.
