Tizen 1.0 Larkspur OS SDK and Source Code Is Now Out!

Last year we told you about #-Link-Snipped-# and today the Tizen team has happily announced the Tizen 1.0 Larkspur OS SDK and source code. This release also includes a few new complimentary components as well. These new features are a Simulator, an IDE with more flexible debug tools and an Emulator. Simulator is browser-based with support for Tizen APIs. And the Emulator's performance is improved through the Intel's Hardware Acceleration Manager for Windows and OpenGL acceleration for Linux.

Among the updates, we have support for W3C/HTML5 specification features and POI (Point of Interest) and route search facility. The Wi-Fi Direct key features are added too. To get the developers interested in this platform, Tizen team has made quite a few changes to the community infrastructure; like upgrading back-end and adding a bug tracker and wiki. Though these are just a few ones on their list, Tizen will be releasing frequent updates here onwards.

You may download the SDK | Tizen Developers and the #-Link-Snipped-#. So, how many of the developers among you are going to get up, close and personal with the Tizen OS 1.0? Let us know through the comments.
