The vanishing foam used in FIFA 2014 by refrees

If you've been following the FIFA 2014 World Cup, you must have noticed that the magic foam that the referees spray around the ball or draw lines with. It disappears after a while. I decided to find out what it is and found an article on GEEK that explains it.

The foam is actually pressurised butane + water. When released through the can, the foam expands and then evaporates in a few minutes. The foam allows a time-span of about 2-3 minutes for the players and the referees to do their job.
