TATA Motors Launches New CNG Variants of Indigo, Indica; Starting Price Is Rs 4.99 Lakhs

Tata Motors recently launched new CNG variants of Tata Indigo and Tata Indica under its emax series. The new Tata Indigo emax starting price is Rs 4.99 lakh, which goes up to Rs 5.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the new Tata Indica emax compact car is bracketed between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 4.26 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) stated the company-issued statement. Also, this new emax range offers CNG and Petrol bi-fuel system options.

Ankush Arora, Tata Motors Senior Vice President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (Commercial), said- "CNG is gaining momentum in the Indian automobile market and we are happy to announce expansion of our CNG portfolio." Introducing these new variants of Indigo and Indica marks an important step that shall sustain the company's growth, and let it continue as a leading automotive player in the market. In India, the new variants have been launched across six markets where they could be availed- Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tripura.

Tata Motors had earlier exhibited their Indigo and Indica emax range at the 'Horizonext' event held at Pune earlier this year. It's here where they committed of launching their CNG variants in financial year 2014. The Nano emax was debuted in this range.
