Swipe Slate Pro With 10-Inch Display, Android Marshmallow and 4G Connectivity Costs Rs. 8,499

It has been years since the demand for tablets has been steadily falling but that has not prevented manufacturers from launching new tablets in the market. You would agree that the tablet market is divided into two segments; you either go for a high end iPad or settle for an entry level offering. This time we have something in the entry-level segment from the company Swipe Technologies. Swipe has launched its new tablet called the Swipe Slate Pro. The Swipe Slate Pro has gone up for sale exclusively on Flipkart for a price tag of Rs. 8499.

Now should you decide to go for a budget tablet like the Swipe Slate Pro, let us find out what features are on it. The Swipe Slate Pro certainly manages to stand apart from the regular herd of 7inch budget offerings by sporting a 10.1inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution display. It is pretty unusual to see a tablet in this price range to sport a 10inch screen but even if you get a bigger area to play with the display is quite lacklustre owing to the average resolution. Underneath the hood we have an unnamed chipset that houses a 1.1GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM which run the slightly dated Android Marshmallow.

The Swipe Slate Pro has an internal memory of 16GB and you can use microSD cards of up to 32GB to expand the storage. The Swipe Slate Pro comes with a 5MP camera on the rear and a 2MP one on the front. The Swipe Slate Pro is powered by a 5000mAh battery which may sound large but for a tablet of a bigger screen it shall fail to power it for more than 10 hours of use. The Swipe Slate Pro also supports VoLTE which means you can pop in a Jio or Airtel SIM (in certain regions) to make voice calls. The Swipe Slate Pro is a dual SIM enabled tablet. The Swipe Slate Pro also supports Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth connectivity.
