How an 3 phase alternator is used as a starting device for starting of a Gas turbine generator set using static frequency converter.

sauravgoswamido you mean in vehicles?? as in power stations,turbines use source of energy like water,cola,gas etc,which in turn powers the generators,and rpm of generator decides the frequency of generated voltage,as for alternator they also work similar to generators but in small scale -

Gas Turbine Generators in Vehicles ???. I think I am entering a new world. I wanted to know the principle involved / method in turning the generator to a motor for starting of the Gas Turbine Generator set.
