Spotify Finally Launches On Kindle Fire, Updates iOS App

A busy day at the Spotify office, it seems, with the music streaming service finally landing on the coveted Kindle Fire while parallelly updating its app in the Apple universe. This is the app's first ever appearance on the Kindle, previously available across desktops, Macs, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry. The Kindle Fire app includes free Radio feature, similar to the Android version. Premium users would be enjoy an uninterrupted experience while free users will have advertisements and limited skips.

The Kindle Fire app Slide-out navigation has Social features which allows the user to check out friends’ profile pages and playlists on the go. Artist imagery in high resolution as well as Related artist view, which is a first on mobile, are also included in the feature set. Extreme sound quality setting is provided for 320 kbps listening.

Meanwhile, Spotify app for iOS has been updated to version 0.5.4 which includes support for iOS6, the latest Operating System from Apple. The latest version offers more stations to iOS users. The new version also comes with some bug fixes for Facebook login and provides overall stability. The Spotify app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
