Bringing you the best of both worlds - a stunning display quality and a killer camera, the new Sony Xperia XZ Premium smartphone has been officially launched in India this week. There's so much to talk about in this new eye candy of a mobile device - We call it that because the phone's design is such that it brings an edge to edge sophistication to your pocket with its diamond cut edges, a stainless steel camera lens ring on the rear and a water-resistant metallic body. Let's talk about some of the best features that the new premium smartphone brings to the table.

Starting with its first, major selling point - the 4K HDR display that brings Sony Bravia TV's tech to the mobile screen. The TRILUMINOS display produces 138% of the color spectrum and the X-Reality engine promises razor-sharp image quality. The Sony engineers have also developed the Dynamic Contrast Enhancer that enhances your experience of viewing super-resolution videos and images.

The 5.5" display brings 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution screen which is well protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Next on the must-check-out list is the company's ground-breaking tech that brings super slow motion and predictive capture to the 'Motion Eye' camera, which is named so because it's said to capture more than what the human eye can see. With a marriage of fast & smart processing to the best motion detection tech from the company, the Sony engineers bring 5x faster image scanning, ability to record at 960 frames per second and amazing images even in low-light and back-lit conditions.

If all that doesn't make you stop saving for that expensive DSLR camera, this just might - The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a renewed BIONZ image processor and the Sony's award-winning G lens for corner-to-corner image clarity. The rear camera is a 19 megapixel one with Exmor RS for capturing photos without breaking them even on zooming in. The front camera features 13 megapixels with a 1/3.06” low light sensor and a 22mm wide-angle lens for selfies that are better than ever.

Among other noteworthy features - we have Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 256 GB. The phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor and brings support for dual Nano SIM cards (4G+4G). A 3230 mAh Li-Ion battery brings Qnovo adaptive charging with Sony's quick charging 3.0 tech

The phone is available at a discounted price of Rs. 59,990 on Amazon India website. Among the top 4G high-end smartphones in India, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium will be pitted against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, LG G5 and Apple iPhone 6S Plus.
