Sony Ericsson has been innovating in the mobile space with cool gadgets. The Sony Ericsson LiveView™ is one of the latest gadget from the company. LiveView™ is actually a wearable, android powered wrist-watch that connects to your bluetooth powered mobile and lets you take charge of your phone without touching it. It has an OLED screen with 128×128 pixels and some interaction elements such as 4-way navigation (touch sensors at the front, just at the edges of the screen) and two hard buttons, one for power on and off and for menu selection.

The idea is simple. Wear the LiveView on your wrist and control your mobile calls, alerts, social network (facebook and twitter), music through it. Above all, this device is Android powered which means you get access to tens of thousands of applications available on Android Marketplace. The gadget won "Most Innovative Accessory" and "Best Experience Overall" category awards at the Telecom Xperience event in Utrecht, the Netherlands in November 10,2010.



LiveView works perfectly with almost all of the Sony Ericsson mobiles and also Bluetooth enabled devices from other manufacturers. The specialty of this device is in display of battery status and caller ID display. The gadget works fine at a range of 10 meters from your Bluetooth enabled phone. Music player control: Play, pause, next, previous track and audio adjustment. Track title display.

Social Networking Services: Facebookâ„¢ & Twitterâ„¢ status updates

Messaging: Display incoming texts & RSS feeds

Calls: Show phone number for incoming calls. Mute ringer for incoming phone calls. List of missed calls.

Other: Calendar reminders. Find your phone. Display time and date.

Connectivity: Bluetoothâ„¢ technology. Micro USB connector. Bluetoothâ„¢ range approximately 10 meter.

Screen: 1,3”colour OLED display, 128×128 pixels

Compatibility: Compatible with the Sony Ericsson Xperiaâ„¢ X10, Sony Ericsson Xperiaâ„¢ X10 mini and Sony Ericsson Xperiaâ„¢ X10 mini pro and most other brands on Android 2.0 and above.
