Solar-Powered Info-Point Public Booth For Visitors In A New City

The #-Link-Snipped-# is a self-supporting open fronted cubicle that employs the most recent technology to bring people together, that too by deriving all its clean recyclable energy straight from the sun. The setup comprises of two modules - the first being a main module equipped with touch screens and chargers, while the second is an 'X' shaped bench to rest. Both the modules come with assimilated solar panels that render power to the screens, USB charging ports, and the LED lamps that maintains the info-point's lighting even at night.

The concept of the info-point is to basically bring into existence a place where visitors to a new city are able to get all the necessary details regarding events and places, and be informed over the local culture and history. This Solar Powered Info-point was designed by Ekaterina Shchetina, Desislava Ivanova and Tsuyoshi Sogabe, particularly for the 2015 Expo, which is to be held at Milan, Italy.
