Social Platform #Waywire - Being The Change You Want To See In The World

The video opens with John. F. Kennedy's 1961 Inaugural speech, cut to present day world, with the youth expressing their views on issues that they feel plague the society and the eagerness to build a better place. That's Waywire in a nutshell. A new social platform which aims to sow seeds of information, news and the voice of youth and reap inspiration for individuals and leaders who are capable of driving the change.

Social network is flourishing in the form of Twitter and Facebook, occasionally uncovering their vast potential with movements like 'Occupy Wall Street' but Waywire’s Founder and CEO Nathan Richardson believes that there's still a lot left to be discovered. Though there are a number of social utilities which provide their users with a platform to exercise free speech, only a few are able to bring context around it. Richardson aims to fill in the void by constructing a social network where the young adults can share user-generated content, interact, start a debate and be a part of discussions.

The new start-up has already gained popularity and is backed by a handful of influential personalities including Oprah Winfrey, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner, First Round Capital and Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors. Waywire has begun accepting email registrations for the site’s private beta release at #-Link-Snipped-#.
